Appearance and the way students present themselves is a clear reflection of their general attitude, and this will impact on their learning. Students need to ensure that they arrive at the Academy each morning ready to work, and this includes being clean, tidy and dressed appropriately in the correct Academy Uniform and having the correct kit to wear for PE.
The students' general appearance also influences the way they are seen by other people. Students at the Bishop of Rochester Academy are expected to present themselves smartly at all times, both in and out of the Academy, in order to create a good impression. When on a trip/visit, etc., outside of the Academy, students are reminded that they are representing the Academy.
We firmly believe that our Uniform and Dress Code will help to maintain the high standards on which our Academy culture and ethos are based.
